"I was fortunate to have Eduardo at Sun 7 School as an instructor because his teaching style and lessons were on target.

He took time to ensure that I understood concepts before moving on to the next. I found the books, listening materials and my notes extremely useful even after completing the course.

The best part about Eduardo and Renata is that they continued to teach me Portuguese after my lessons. They were extremely helpful in enlightening me on the culture, customs and beauty of Brazil.

I would recommend Sun 7 School to anyone in a heart beat"

By chance we passed the language school Sun7 of Renata and Eduardo in Floripa. We´re interested in the portuguese language since a long time, so we decided to take a test lesson. We we´re satisfied on the qualified and symphatic teachers, the familiary athmosphere and the well structured material.

So we decided to go for a four week intensive course with Eduardo. For both of us, it was very important, to get some qualified classes and that we could learn something about the brazilian culture and way of thinking.

Eduardo came up with both requests very well. He catches up with his knowhow as a language teacher and provides us with an insight into the brazilian lifestyle.

Renata and Eduardo designed the whole teaching material. At the beginning you learn how to talk in everyday life situation. After that you learn the grammatical structure, which is very important for the portuguese language.
All topics fit up with exercises.

Renata and Eduardo are very motivated and as you can see, they have fun to teach their own language and culture.

So it was really fun to learn with them and we

spent a very good time as friends and

students.
We really recommend Sun7 for all those who

like to combine learning portuguese and

discover the brazilian culture with

spending their vacation on the beautiful

island of Santa Catarina.

"I can totally recommend Eduardo as a great Portuguese teacher!!!!

When I arrived in Brazil, I knew basically no Portuguese. However after starting classes with Eduardo, Ive been really pleased how quickly its taken me to learn to speak Portuguese, and be able to converse with local Brazilian people.

Eduardo follows a really clear structure, is easy to follow, and is very patient and encouraging. His classes are always fun, and have helped me learn Portuguese much faster than I imagined!"

"I have studied several languages in several different countries with a variety of teachers. Eduardo is by far one of the best I've had the pleasure of working with.
He is friendly, knowledgeable, and most important, very patient.

He incorporates a variety of mediums to help the student learn about Brazilian culture and the language including TV, games, magazines, and music, and it is obvious that he loves what he does.
I strongly recommend his services and I will definitely be back for more!"

"Renata is an excellent and experienced teacher who explains new material and concepts very clearly and thoroughly.

She’s very knowledgeable, supportive, and enthusiastic, and teaches in such a way that I was able to make fast progress in a short time while having a lot of fun learning.

She has had considerable experience in teaching English-speaking students (as well as students who speak other languages), so she was very aware of the challenges and issues that I ran into."

"Having just finished an MBA at Wharton (UPenn), I had some time before my job started in the U.S. to dedicate to learning Portuguese.

Renata took me from speaking no Portuguese to reaching business fluency in 3 months of intensive study.

Because she is well-educated and also qualified to teach English, she understands the difficulties that native English-speakers encounter in learning Portuguese, and tailored the lessons as such.

She came to each lesson extremely well-prepared, and found ways to keep the classes interesting through a variety of activities, outings, and just by being a fun person.

She supplements the classes with outside materials, if you wish to spend additional time studying outside of the classes. She also goes to great lengths to make sure you are enjoying your time in Brazil (in my case, even arranging for me to stay with a Brazilian friend in the most fun part of Floripa).

I have studied other languages in other countries (as well as Portuguese with a few other professors during the first two weeks), and found that Renata's classes were the best value I've come across. Her fee is lower than you will

find at any other school, and she's extremely flexible.

I recommended 3 other students to her, all of whom had

wonderful experiences and continue taking classes with her.

Renata can pass you my Facebook contact information if you

have any specific questions.

Eduardo took his time to understand exactly where I was with my Portuguese, where I wanted to go with it and what I needed to learn and improve in order to get there.

It worked out perfectly and I've learned a lot in a short period of time. The classes were interesting, fun and I always left with the feeling that I've learned the right things to make progress.

At the end, he gave me all the tools and understanding to keep perfecting the language by myself after I left Brazil.

Thanks again Eduardo!!

I came to Sun7 School with no Portuguese knowledge, but after two weeks of classes, I was having conversations in Portuguese! If you focus, Eduardo will give you all the tools you need to learn well and learn fast.

He really helped me with pronunciation, reading, writing, grammar, and even connected me to outside resources such as good books to read in Portuguese, songs, and comedy!

Both Renata and Eduardo became my good friends in a short period of time. There is no awkward student-teacher separation with these two, they were wonderful! They also connected me to other Portuguese students and I made great friends in Barra.

I would easily recommend Sun7 School to anyone. Thank you Renata and Eduardo!

My name is Maren Trones and I am from Norway.

I took an intensive Portuguese course in Sun7 School in February 2011 with two hours a day, before starting my exchange semester at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC).

Eduardo was my teacher for the whole period, and in my opinion he is an excellent teacher. I have been attending different language courses before, but Eduardo is by far the best teacher I ha´ve ever had!!!! His classes are always fun and interesting, and he uses different learning methods; different learning books, newspapers, videos, songs and poems in his teaching.

Every class is individually prepared specially for your need and wishes, which makes it way more interesting than a big classroom course with 20 other students.

All the classes in UFSC were held in Portuguese, so I needed fast progress in order to be able to keep up with the other students. I was very surprised how fast I was learning with Eduardo, and I was able to communicate with the other students after finishing the course.

Sun7 is located in Barra da Lagoa, a beautiful little fisherman village. The classroom is approx. 50 meters from a lovely beach with good waves for people that want to learn how to surf. Every day after having two hours of Portuguese class with Eduardo, I spent my time going to the beach, learning how to surf, going to one of the great restaurants in the beachfront or just relaxing with local friends. It is a lovely place, and I cannot wait to get back to Barra!

As for Eduardo and Renata, I am so happy to have gotten the chance to get to know them.

They are amazing people, and it is impossible to not like them!!

They are always happy to help you with any questions you may have, nothing is ever a problem for them. They also tend to show students around in the area, which is very nice!! They became some of my best friends in Florianopolis, and I still keep in touch with them.

What I like most about Sun7 is the fact that it applies to everyone. In my case I needed Portuguese for university purposes, but the language course is also perfect for travellers that want to get more out of their Brazil experience than just talking to other foreigners.

I truly recommend a language course at Sun7 for anyone that are interested in learning Portuguese and leaving more about Brazilian culture !
